6th GMS Working Group on Health Cooperation Meeting

ADB and the National Health Commission of People’s Republic of China convened the 6th Greater Mekong Subregion Working Group on Health Cooperation Meeting on 13-15 December 2023 in Beijing. The meeting discussed the (i) draft Regional Health Cooperation Strategy 2024-2030 and the timeline for the launch of the strategy; (ii) opportunities for increasing engagement with the private sector; (iii) areas for joint collaboration with the GMS Trade Facilitation Group; (iv) pipeline projects for regional health cooperation in the GMS-region; (v) debrief on key messages from COP28 on climate and change health; and (vi) draft Technical Assistance 2024-2029 to support health cooperation in the GMS-region. PRCM’s Country Director gave the opening remarks for this hybrid meeting which was attended by representatives from Health Ministries of GMS countries and development partners.
