ADB Supports Viet Nam’s Reforms, Pledges Continued Strong Assistance

HA NOI, VIET NAM ( 17 June 2016) — The President of the Asian Development Bank Takehiko Nakao met with Viet Nam’s State President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc during his two-day visit to discuss ADB’s deepening partnership with the country and priorities for future cooperation.

ADB President Commends Myanmar’s Progress, Announces Expanded Assistance

NAY PYI TAW, MYANMAR (14 June 2016) – Asian Development Bank President Takehiko Nakao met with Myanmar’s President U Htin Kyaw and State Counsellor and Minister of Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to discuss Myanmar’s development prospects, macroeconomic and structural priorities, and ADB’s support to the new administration.

ADB President Affirms Support for Lao PDR Development, Regional Cooperation

VIENTIANE, LAO PDR (4 April 2016) — Asian Development Bank President Takehiko Nakao today met Thongsing Thammavong, Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR), Liane Thykeo, Minister of Finance, and Somdy Douangdy, Minister of Planning and Investment, to discuss how ADB can support the country’s infrastructure, private sector, skills development, and health services.
