At the First GMS Summit, leaders of the six Mekong countries issued a joint declaration, entitled "Making it Happen: A Common Strategy on Cooperation for Growth, Equity and Prosperity in the Greater Mekong Subregion" in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 3 November 2002.
This publication presents the 10-year strategic framework for the GMS Program, which was endorsed by the GMS countries at the 10th Ministerial Conference.
The Seventh Meeting (the Meeting) of the Subregional Transport Forum (the STF) was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam on 20-21 August 2002. The Meeting was jointly organized by the Government of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The objectives of the Meeting were as follows: (i) to maintain the momentum of cooperation in the transport sector in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS); (ii) to advance specific subregional initiatives in the transport sector; and (iii) to reinforce as well as focus the subregional consultative process.
This publication summarizes the outcome of the Twelfth Meeting of the Working Group on Environment (WGE-8) held in Yangon, Myanmar on 3-4 April 2002.
This publication is a synthesis of four country studies undertaken in Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand, and Viet Nam.
