ASEAN Federation of Forwarders Associations Emphasizes Intra-bloc Logistics Connectivity

The ASEAN Federation of Forwarders Associations (AFFA) met on 2 December 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, for their 33rd annual meeting, and discussed facilitation of goods transportation via inter-governmental cooperation in the region. 

ASEAN countries have emphasized the development of logistics services, infrastructure, and trade facilitation measures, and promoting intra-bloc connectivity. 


Quang Nanh Lets Farmers Play a Key Role to Promote Sustainable Agricultural Development

Farmers are playing a pivotal role in Quảng Ninh, Viet Nam’s restructured vision for its agricultural sector for 2022-2025. 29th Meeting of the GMS Regional Power Trade Coordination Committee (RPTCC-29)

The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) countries convened the 29th (the final) Meeting of the GMS Regional Power Trade Coordination Committee (RPTCC-29) in a hybrid format (with inperson in Siem Reap, Cambodia and via web-based conferencing) on 5-6 July 2022. RPTCC-29 was a landmark meeting signaling the evolution of RPTCC into the GMS Energy Transition Taskforce (ETTF).






ADB’s Role in Promoting Growth, Green Recovery, and Inclusion in ASEAN

This brochure outlines how ADB partners with the ASEAN to strengthen regional cooperation and integration to help drive growth, a green recovery, and inclusion.This includes support for capacity building, knowledge sharing, and policy dialogues for the B-I-G Capacity Building Program for Connectivity for Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA), the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT), and the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). 
 



ADB's investment will fund the working capital to expand Australis' operations at Van Phong Bay in central Viet Nam and support the development of a second regional production hub in southern Viet Nam.

ADB Invests in Ocean-Based Aquaculture in Viet Nam

 The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Australis Holdings, Inc. (Australis) signed a $15 million convertible note to promote climate-resilient, ocean-based barramundi and seaweed aquaculture in Viet Nam.
