Smart Border Gate between GZAR, PRC, and Viet Nam Set to Redefine Automated Customs Clearance
A smart border gate will be built at the Huu Nghi (Viet Nam) – Youyi Guan (PRC) border gate by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (GZAR) of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Viet Nam’s Lang Son Province. Mr. Xu Yongke, Vice Chairman of GZAR, noted that the smart border gate is set to improve the efficiency of customs clearance processes, taking customs clearance activities between the two sides to new heights with “no closing” and “no waiting.”
The project will employ satellite positioning and 5G technology to implement automated guided vehicles, automated crane equipment, and a smart map checking system. It will facilitate cross-border logistics information exchange between Viet Nam and the PRC, allowing automatic customs clearance of goods around the clock.
