The Department of Communicable Disease Control of the Ministry of Health of Lao PDR organized the Regional Workshop on Implementing the Asia Pacific Strategy for Emerging Diseases and Public Health Emergencies (APSED III) in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) on 19 to 20 November 2018 in Pakse, Champasack Province, Lao PDR (under L3465/G0516-Lao: GMS Health Security Project).

The Department of Hospital Services, Ministry of Health (MOH) of Cambodia organized a Regional Workshop on Laboratory Quality and Biosafety on 14–15 August 2018 at Angkor Paradise Hotel, Siem Reap, Cambodia.

The Asian Development Bank organized the one day Roundtable Discussion on Regional Investment Framework for Migrant Health in the Greater Mekong Subregion on 5 November 2018 in Bangkok. The roundtable discussion focused on defining an operational regional investment framework and available financing solutions to innovatively address migrant health care challenges and support national and regional universal health coverage.

ADB convened the GMS Health Cooperation Strategy Writeshop on 23‒25 April 2018 in Bangkok to undertake a final review of the GMS Health Cooperation Strategy 2019-2023 in preparation for the circulation to and endorsement by GMS Health Ministers or their respective delegates.

A high-level gathering was organized by ADB on 6 July 2017 at Sofitel Hotel in Bangkok to officially launch the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Health Security Project and endorse the declaration for the GMS health security and future health collaboration among countries in the GMS.

The GMS Regional Innovation Workshop was held on 15 May 2024 in Beijing, PRC.

The course enabled the participants to acquire a hands-on understanding of important electricity market concepts, including: (i)  why wholesale electricity markets are generally cleared via uniform-price rather than pay-as-bid auctions, (ii) the operation of transmission constraints, (iii) how wind and solar affect electricity market outcomes, (iv) when suppliers have incentives to exercise unilateral market power, and (v) how fixed-price forward contracts can align supplier behavior with the policymaker’s goal of least-cost electricity supply, including when there are transmission constraints and high shares of wind and solar. The workshop was organized by ADB, ADB Institute, and Standford University Program on Energy and Sustainable Development.   

The Ministry of Health (MOH) of Cambodia conducted a Regional Workshop on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for Surveillance System on 5–6 September 2019 at Somadevi Angkor Hotel in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) in coordination with International Organization for Migration
(IOM) organized the Regional Knowledge Exchange Workshop on Malaria Interventions Among
Mobile Migrant Populations in Bangkok on 17 to 18 May 2018 to share successes, challenges,
and lessons learned during the implementation of RCDTA 8959-REG: Malaria and
Communicable Diseases Control in the GMS.
