This joint virtual dialogue organized by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on Labor Migration in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) covering Cambodia, the People’s Republic of China (specifically Yunnan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region), Lao People's Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam aims to strengthen cooperation through enhanced labor migration management.

The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Working Group on Environment will present post-COVID-19 environment-friendly and climate-resilient response and recovery efforts in GMS countries on 23 June at 1:30-5:00 p.m. (GMT+7) via Microsoft Teams. Priorities for COVID-19 recovery support by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in themes such as climate action, biodiversity and wildlife management, and sustainable waste management will be discussed. 

The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Working Group on Agriculture will present post-COVID-19 response and recovery efforts in agriculture on 25 June at 1:30-4:30 p.m. (GMT+7) via Microsoft Teams. Priorities for COVID-19 recovery support by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in areas such as digital technologies for green agribusiness supply chain management, and livestock health and value chains will be discussed. 

The Third Meeting of the GMS Working Group on Health Cooperation (WGHC-3) was held on 12–13 December 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. WGHC-3 was co-organized by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) of Thailand and the ADB.

The Department of Communicable Disease Control of the Ministry of Health of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) conducted a Regional Workshop on Strengthening Risk Communications for Health Emergencies in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) on 12 to 13 September 2019 in Xieng Kouang Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic (under L3465/G0516-LAO: GMS Health Security Project).

The Ministry of Health (MOH) of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) conducted a Regional Workshop on Identifying Strategies and Policies to Improve Health Services’ Access and Availability for Ethnic Groups and Vulnerable Populations in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) on 12–13 December 2019 in the Don Chan Palace Hotel, Vientiane.

The Asian Development organized the Writeshop to Finalize the Strategic Results Framework and Prepare Regional Action Plans for the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) Health Cooperation Strategy 2019‒2023 on 26‒27 September 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Ministerial Conference of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Program designates Ministers to provide strategic and policy directions to the program, and oversees progress in identifying and implementing “results-oriented” subregional cooperation initiatives.

The Department of Communicable Disease Control of the Ministry of Health of Lao PDR organized the Regional Workshop on Implementing the Asia Pacific Strategy for Emerging Diseases and Public Health Emergencies (APSED III) in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) on 19 to 20 November 2018 in Pakse, Champasack Province, Lao PDR (under L3465/G0516-Lao: GMS Health Security Project).

The Department of Hospital Services, Ministry of Health (MOH) of Cambodia organized a Regional Workshop on Laboratory Quality and Biosafety on 14–15 August 2018 at Angkor Paradise Hotel, Siem Reap, Cambodia.
