Senior officials of GMS countries and development partners finalized a regional strategy and action plan for agriculture for 2018-2022 during the 14th Annual Meeting of the GMS Working Group on Agriculture on 13-14 July in Siem Reap. They also launched an Agriculture Innovation Challenge, and prepared a joint statement for the 2nd GMS Agriculture Ministers' Meeting to be held in September.
Why look at food hazards and risks? Safe food for all is an over-arching motto of all GMS Agriculture Ministries. Promoting public understanding of mitigation and prevention of foodborne diseases is essential.
Policy Forum on (GMS) as One: Unified Regional Approaches to Food Safety and Market Access
Objective: To agree on unified regional approaches and measures that promote harmonized food safety standards and greater market access for safe, environment-friendly, high quality GMS agro-food products.
This biochar assessment project aims to evaluate the potential application of biochar technology in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS). The project included all GMS countries, i.e. Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, Viet Nam and Yunnan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
