At its sixth meeting in Hanoi, Viet Nam on 15 March 2018, the Joint Committee for the Cross-Border Transport Facilitation Agreement announced the completion of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding of the "Early Harvest" Implementation of the agreement by all counties of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). This allows the effective launch of GMS Road Transport Permits and Temporary Admission Documents for commercial vehicles starting on 1 June 2018.
