The Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) and Thailand are planning to build another bridge across the Mekong River.

A report from Xinhua said the Sixth Thai-Lao PDR Friendship Bridge will connect the Na Tan district in Thailand’s Ubon Ratchathani province with Lakhonepheng town in Salavan province of the Lao PDR.

Thailand's Department of Highways is leading the feasibility study and design of the project.
