Tenth Meeting of the Regional Power Trade Coordination Committee (RPTCC-10)
Download the PDF file (362.9 KB). The 10th Meeting of the Regional Power Trade Coordination Committee (RPTCC-10) of the Greater Mekong Subregion was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia on 25 to 27 May 2011. It discussed the following: the requirements for setting up a Regional Coordination Center for power trade in the subregion; a suitable governance structure for the center; the selection criteria for its headquarters, headquarters agreement, staffing and funding; and the contents of the agreement to establish the center. The RPTCC-10 meeting also discussed the latest draft of the new GMS Strategic Framework, the results framework for energy and its implications on the GMS energy cooperation program, as well as the proposal of complementary capacity building program at national level in the GMS on RETA 6440 issues The RPTCC-10 meeting was jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy of Cambodia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB ). It was attended by RPTCC nominees of the six GMS member countries, as well as by representatives of ADB, Agence Francaise de Developpement, Australian Agency for International Development, GMS Environment Operations Center , Mekong River Commission, and the World Bank.
