Statistics on Growth, Energy, and Bilateral Trade in the Greater Mekong Subregion (Third Edition)

The third edition of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Statistics booklet builds on information from the first and second editions. In addition to updated data, this edition has been substantially enhanced with data and indicators on the energy sector and bilateral trade among the six Mekong countries: Cambodia, People's Republic of China (specifically Yunnan Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region), Lao People's Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam.

The GMS energy sector includes basic energy indicators; data on supply, production, and consumption of energy and power; energy and power trade; and a set of country tables with disaggregated data by type of fuel.

The chapter on bilateral trade includes data within GMS, and between GMS and the world.

In this edition, estimation of some existing indicators have also been improved through the use of provincial rather than national data, where possible. Moreover, new data have been added, most important of which are time series estimates of constant gross domestic product and supply-side infrastructure indicators.
