54th TWG Meeting and MTCO Board Meeting

The 54th GMS Tourism Working Group meeting (TWG-54) and MTCO Board meeting were held on 17-18 December 2024 in Krabi, Thailand. The meetings discussed updates on the development of the GMS Tourism Strategy 2030, and on the Agreement that will establish MTCO as an international legal entity. among others. Countries reported key 2024 tourism statistics, tourism visa/entry policy updates and top source markets, updates on national tourism strategies, and key GMS tourism cooperation activities implemented in 2024 and planned for 2025. Briefings were also held on the Mekong Tourism Forum 2025 and Tourism Working Group meetings for 2025.
