The GMS Innovation Strategy for Development 2030

The GMS Innovation Strategy for Development 2030 (GMS ISD) aims to establish the GMS as a dynamic hub of innovation, creativity, and sustainable development, driving inclusive economic prosperity, and improving the well-being of its people through a more sustainable and integrated economy. It will support, strengthen, and help build the components of national innovation strategies in each GMS country by addressing the weaknesses of the existing subregional innovation system, focusing on three complementary strategic approaches—digitalization, green transition, and connectivity—to increase progress toward meeting the ambitions of GMS-2030 and address ongoing and developing subregional challenges. The concept for the GMS ISD was approved at the 26th GMS Ministerial Conference.
