Da Nang Recognized for Smart Environmental Monitoring

Da Nang, Viet Nam, was recognized for excellence in smart urban construction and development, notably its excellence in environmental monitoring, by the country’s national association for software and IT services, Vietnam Software & IT services (VINASA).   

To help the city deal with environmental pollution, Da Nang has installed over 70 smart cameras for monitoring environmental conditions and supporting environmental incident reports filed by citizens. These are complemented by 66 automated environmental monitoring stations and 15 automated wastewater sample testing systems. 

The annual award aims to honor cities and provinces, real estate developers, and technology firms for their contributions to building smart and sustainable cities in Viet Nam.
