GMS Economic Corridors Must Yield More Jobs and Investment, Forum Hears

HA NOI, VIET NAM (8 August 2014) – The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) needs to ensure that economic corridors yield benefits in terms of trade, investment, and jobs, participants at the 6th GMS Economic Corridors Forum (ECF) heard today.

ADB $125 Million Loan and Grant to Strengthen Health Security in GMS

PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA (23 November 2016) — The Asian Development Bank has approved a $117 million loan to the Governments of Cambodia, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Myanmar and Viet Nam to enhance responses to emerging infectious diseases and the management of other major public health threats. The Lao PDR government is also receiving $8 million in grant assistance.

GMS Officials to Reinvigorate Trade, Climate Friendly Agriculture Products

DA NANG, VIET NAM (29 July 2016) – At the 13th Annual Meeting of the Working Group on Agriculture of the Greater Mekong Subregion, agriculture officials discussed ways to improve food safety and trade, climate friendly agriculture and bioenergy and biomass management.
