5th Greater Mekong Subregion Working Group on Health Cooperation Meeting
Event
The ADB and the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Cambodia convened the 5th Greater Mekong Subregion Working Group on Health Cooperation Meeting (GMS-WGHC-5 Meeting) on 13–14 December 2022 in Siem Reap. The theme of this meeting, which was hosted by MOH, Cambodia, was “Looking forward—Envisaging GMS Health Cooperation through to 2030” and it discussed the (i) revisioning of health cooperation in the GMS 2024–2030; (ii) reinforcement of the GMS countries’ commitment to the WGHC Workplan for 2023; and (iii) updating of the GMS Regional Investment Framework. Experts from Stockholm Environment, ASEAN, Nossal Institute and ADB led discussions on climate change and health, regional disease control, One Health and portable health insurance. CARM’s Country Director gave the opening remarks for this hybrid meeting which was attended by representatives from Health Ministries of GMS countries.
