Project Description
MIST identifies, pilots, and helps entrepreneurs and government scale innovative tourism solutions, both traditional and technology-based, that contribute to sustainable and inclusive tourism. The first MIST accelerator program launched in January 2017 successfully incubated 12 tourism startups from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Viet Nam. The 2018 MIST will help identify scalable business models and technologies that address priority GMS visitor market needs. It will deepen industry engagement by setting up a tourism industry advisory group that includes corporates, technology companies, mature startups, research agencies, media, and academia.
