Project Description
The project will concentrate support- ing urban planning and infrastructure in key economic, administrative and tourism towns in Cambodia, such as Battambang, Poipet, Kampot and Bavet, which have been identified as being on the cusp of economic transformation. Investments are required to fund the infrastructure gap and provide opportunities to encourage growth in the region. A long-term infrastructure master plan, which will include assessment of land use plans, urban development policies and staging mechanisms for the provision of water supply, sanitation, solid waste management and drainage infrastructure, will be included aspart of the project, as well as an assessment of governance arrangements and institutional effectiveness.
